Over eight million illegal immigrants, including visa overstays, are working in, non-agriculture, American jobs, by using false, or stolen SS numbers. Only 7% of the over 7 million employers are using E-Verify. E-Verify has a 99.71% accuracy rate (per Congressional testimony) ... only 0. 043% of employers (3,000) were audited for I-9 compliance in 2012. Using SS mismatches, DHS knows where these illegal immigrants are working. With each passing day, more illegal immigrants are on the way, taking our work. It's time to begin enforcing our existing Federal laws against illegal immigration.

Simply put, E-Verify is, by far, the single-most effective tool we, the people have, to prevent illegal immigration. If illegal immigrants can't work, and can't collect entitlements, they will stop coming to our United States. Mandate, and enforce, E-Verify.

according to Congressional testimony, E-Verify is 99.71% effective

`(2) PREEMPTION- The provisions of this section preempt any State or local law, ordinance,
policy, or rule, including any criminal or civil fine or penalty structure, insofar as they
may now or hereafter relate to the hiring, continued employment, or status verification for
employment eligibility purposes, of unauthorized aliens. A State, locality, municipality, or

"The E-Verify program is extremely accurate. When it vets an individual who represents him or herself
as work-authorized and that individual is in fact work-authorized, I believe its accuracy rate is over 99 percent. ...
It is very accurate in verifying a work-authorized individual as work-authorized.

We are always working to improve the program in capturing efforts to commit identity fraud,
something that the program was not really designed to address. But we have made tremendous improvements there.

The program has the capacity to receive more queries than it currently receives on a voluntary basis.
Should E-Verify become mandatory nationwide, it would certainly require structural changes."

After Arizona adopted its tough law in 2010, five other states —
Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, South Carolina and Utah — adopted variations
on it last year, with Alabama's widely considered the toughest in the nation.
All five laws have been challenged by coalitions of civil rights and
immigrant rights groups, and the federal government has sued to block
those in Alabama, South Carolina and Utah.
Opponents of the measures argue such laws lead to discrimination and racial profiling,
and they say immigration is a federal issue that shouldn't be governed by a patchwork
of state laws. Supporters say states have been forced to protect their resources
because the federal government hasn't done enough to quell the influx of illegal immigrants.

on Today's Judiciary Cmte Mark Up

It is time that we stopped making exceptions to the rule of law. According to the Simpson-Mazzoli act,
passed in 1986 and signed by R. Reagan, it is a federal felony to knowingly employ an illegal alien
in any occupation. The penalty is ten thousand dollars per illegal worker and a six month jail term
for the first offense. The reason employers are so opposed to thr e-verify law is that it would remove
their ability to claim ignorance about the status of their employees. It really proves that they
already know what is going on (how could they not). These criminal farmers need to stop their
whining and learn to obey the law. They would be importing slaves if they could get away with it."

ACTION ALERT:: Members of the House Judiciary Committee deliberating H.R. 2885

NAFBPO, an organization of retired immigration enforcement officers opposes HR 2885 because it prevents states from enforcing the federal employment law prohibiting the hiring of illegal aliens.

And they know that if the states aren't enforcing the law, there will be no enforcement in the workplace.

Please call members of the Judiciary Committee and ask them to support an amendment removing Section 6, the state preemption, in HR 2885.

Jena Baker McNeill, J.D. Policy Analyst for Homeland Security, The Heritage Foundation, urged that Congress permanently reauthorize E-Verify and provide adequate funding for implementation.

“Congress should extend E-Verify as a voluntary program and provide the funding needed for its continued and aggressive expansion and improvement,” she said.

“DHS will never be able to arrest and identify every illegal immigrant in our country,” she said. “However, the choice between mass roundups and amnesty is a false dichotomy. A third alternative exists: By seriously enforcing the laws against illegal immigration in the U.S., the government can remove the incentives for illegal immigrants to enter and remain in this country, thereby causing the bulk of them to return home and sharply reducing future inflows.”

    What is E-Verify?
E-Verify is a free and simple to use Web-based system that electronically verifies the employment eligibility of newly hired employees.

E-Verify is a partnership between the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA). U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) oversees the program.

    E-verify participation
Use of E-verify, a system that allows employers to check the legal status of their workers, has exploded in recent years. The chart below shows E-verify data through Feb. 28, 2009. Sort the chart by clicking on the headers.

E-Verify works by allowing participating employers to electronically compare employee information taken from the Form I-9 (the paper-based employee eligibility verification form used for all new hires) against more than 425 million records in SSA's database and more than 60 million records in DHS immigration databases. Results are returned in seconds.

As of September 13, 2008, there were 85,816 employers signed up to use E-Verify.

Today, on May 17, 2009 there are roughly 126,000 employers signed up to use E-Verify.

Senate Rejects Long-Term Extension Of E-Verify, Once Again Refuses To Protect American Jobs

    Senators Voting Against E-Verify

should be classed as the paramount issue when it comes to illegal immigration. The corporate elitists who are partnered with many corrupt politicians do not live in the real world. The business entities who lobby for cheap labor are isolated from the traffic chaos on our highways. They do not live in the pollution of our cities, amongst the gangs and criminals who have swarmed across the borders. Only mainly the middle class will be subjected to a new push for a second path to citizenship or better known as AMNESTY. This revised so-called immigration reform will sweep across America, without any voice allowed to repudiate it from—THE PEOPLE--who must pay for everything. Business pay NOTHING, nor the farmers and using slave labor at cheap rates without any benefits, that lowers American wages across the board. Here are the issues that voters must consider:

    1. Are Americans expected continually to pay for the hiring practices of businesses and farmers? 2. Why have the agricultural community not advanced in using mechanized machines to harvest crops, when they are well subsidized by government agencies? Sen. Feinstein is reintroducing an AGJOB bill that would allow at least 2 million foreign nation legalization. The issue here is 3. Why are our legislators drafting a 2nd AMNESTY, when the 1986 Simpson/Mazzoli bill was weakened on not even enforced and full of fraud? 4. If another AMNESTY is forced on Taxpayers are they expected to cover the costs of an almost impossible regimen of processing 20 million plus foreign nationals? 5. Who is going to pay for the--CHAIN MIGRATION--for the extended family members who will want to live with newly legalized migrant? Then Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), stated “the borders are now safe enough to take a step forward. We can pass strong, fair, practical and effective immigration reform this year," he said. Perhaps he should take a trip to the fence and reverse his initial statement. The border is definitely not secure. It's a place of death at the hands of criminal drug cartels that have even infiltrated the American communities. 6. Isolated border sheriff's voices of alarm, fell upon deaf ears for years in Washington, repeatedly stating of their limited manpower, could not stem the tide of drugs crossing our border.

Our Washington elitists, who are adamant free traders and open border zealots, have not only ruined small Mexican farmers living standards, because of the inception of CAFTA, but now unable to scratch a living have poured across the border along with other impoverished peoples. 7. If millions illegal aliens are legalized, why should honest potential immigrants waiting patiently for years, bother with a employment visa and not just slip past an undermanned, poorly erected border fence? 8. Why are taxpayers forced by mandated law to support hired illegal labor, when businesses pay nothing for them being here. 9. Although not the illegal children's fault
